On the 3rd September Dave Puttick, Ian Fisher, Tim Machin, Rob Wilson & Shaun Parmenter went to the Olympic Course to be assessed. The assessment takes 1 hour and starts with a paddle round slalom poles and a roll on flat water! It then moves to the Legacy course where control on White Water is tested and if you pass this stage, which we all did, you can move on to the Olympic Course for the final test. All the Braintree paddlers passed and we booked on for a further 1 hour for a play when we where joined by Howard who works as a raft guide on the course. The Olympic Course is powerful and challenging and I hope the following pictures taken on the assessment day and on a further visit on the 24th September show this.
