The Wye Valley and Symonds Yat – Camping Weekend

Friday 1st May – Monday 4th May (Bank Holiday Weekend)

We are pleased to announce that Braintree Canoeing Club is inviting all members (and families) of all abilities, new and old to a 3 day, 3 night canoe / camping weekend in the beautiful Wye Valley (AONB).

We aim to arrange a couple of leisurely paddles along the scenic River Wye and to also spend some time at Symonds Yat East where paddlers of all abilities can gain some experience on a Grade 1-2 rapid… it will be fun and it’s ideal if it’s your first time on moving water.

…and just in case you don’t wish to paddle, then there’s lots more to do and see anyway!

(White Water paddlers – it’s worth noting Cardiff International Water Centre is only approx. 50 miles away, however further enquires would be necessary as to gaining access to the course.)
