FSRT – Rescue practice – Sun 7th Feb at 6:30pm

The Sunday evening session booked for 7th February at 6:30pm will be specifically for practicing rescues – the sort of stuff you may well have covered on your FSRT but haven’t practiced since! If you haven’t been on an FSRT course yet but still would like to come along and learn some of the basics that that’s fine too – all are welcome. We only have 1 hour, so pease be ready for a 6:30pm prompt start!

We will be covering throw-line practice, boat to boat and swimmer rescues using a number of different techniques and hopefully a few “casualty” scenarios that you might just have to work out for yourself.

Pleas bring along what kit you have – both paddling kit and boats as we will also be doing a bit of a review of the pluses and minuses of the features. That won’t mean that you will necessarily have to go out and by loads of new kit but should get you thinking about what you have and when its appropriate – or not!.

All kit must be clean if its to be used in the pool and I have cleared with the pool management that we can have access through the door next to the entrance which should make bringing some of the larger boats in and out a be easier.

As usual with a Sunday session if you pay pool fees by standing order this is additional so don’t forget your extra pennies!!

Hope Lewis got off OK today. I expect you have this mail but it’d be good for Lewis to brush up these rescue practices on 7thy Feb. Mum x
