Braintree Canoeing Club – Risk Assessments

As part of our continual review of safety in and around the pool, for both general and polo training, we have updated our site specific risk assessments.  These are attached here, but also available on our Risk Assessments web page: https://braintreecanoeingclub.co.uk/contacts/risk-assessments/.

Please familiarise yourselves with these.  We want to highlight a couple of key points in the pool risk assessments:

  • When transporting equipment through the pool foyer (entrance), members must transport equipment safely away from others.  If entrance contains a lot of people, bring/remove equipment through side doors, with pool management permission
  • In the storage room, boats are to be stored & restrained safely at all times by the chains provided
  • Children are not allowed in storage room without supervision of their responsible adult
  • Photographic equipment can only be used if approved in advance by the pool management

If you have any questions, please contact a member of the BCC committee.
