Cambridge Backs Paddle – Sunday 26th June

We will be running a Cambridge Backs paddle again, on Sunday 26th June.  We will be dodging punts and enjoying the beautiful scenery and city of Cambridge.  Previously we have had up to 30 paddlers attend this popular trip (previous trip report here)

Braintree Canoeing Club - Cambridge Backs 2014

This trip is suitable for all abilities with beginners welcome – round trip is about 5 miles; we’ll be stopping for lunch on Jesus Green, which just past the centre of Cambridge.  If the weather is good, there are places for us to have a BBQ, so come prepared.

Please meet at 10:30am – meeting point is Byron’s Pool: http://lnr.cambridge.gov.uk/nature_reserve/byrons-pool/ –  it will take between 50-60 minutes to get there from Braintree.  Please note – the car park is height restricted so you may need to take off kayaks from the car roof before entry

If you want to borrow any equipment please email bcctripcoordinator@braintreecanoeingclub.co.uk stating the Cambridge Backs trip, your name and equipment required; you will be responsible for transporting the equipment and returning it back to the pool clean.

On a safety note, any children (under 18) will need to be accompanied by an adult (also paddling) and a Parental Responsibility form will need to be signed and handed in on the day.
