Deben Estuary Paddle

With a good forecast and an afternoon tide a paddle on the Deben Estuary was organised, at the last minute, for last Sunday. The weather was better than forecast and the 3 doubles a single sea kayak

made good time from Felixtowe Ferry to Woodbridge where we stopped for a picnic lunch.

One of the doubles was paddled by Ian and Matthew Fisher which was their introduction to Estuary paddling. Total distance paddled was 17 miles but with a strong Ebb tide we made the return journey in under 2 hours.

These paddles are often organised just days before based on the forecast, if you want to come along let me know and I will contact you when a paddle is organised. The club has 2 sea boats and I always have spare double.
