If you have ever thought about a White Water Rafting Experience then maybe this is just the chance that you’ve been waiting for… and if that wasn’t scary enough I’m planning it around Halloween, when the Lee Valley White Water Centre will be having a themed weekend. Woooohhhoooo!!!!
1.00pm on Saturday 29th October I am inviting club members, family and friends to join me at the Lee Valley White Water Centre, Waltham Abbey. Even if you don’t want to get wet, then why not just come along and watch.
The plan is to arrive at around 12.00pm to check in and get changed, ready for the main event to start at 1.00pm. With the whole rafting session taking approx. 2 hours (including a safety assessment, swim test and numerous runs down the Olympic course), followed by a gathering in the Terrace Café afterwards where you can buy food and refreshments.
The cost for this event is £50.00 per person.
A full raft holds a maximum of 8/9 paddlers so it would be great if we were able to fill at least a couple? Lee Valley have informed me that it is already looking like a busy weekend so if you are interested then can I advise that you book early. All kit and equipment is provided. For further details visit “Thrills and Chills White Water Adventure” . Please read Essential information before booking.
To confirm your booking you will need to call the Lee Valley White Water Center on 03000 030 616 and say that you would like to join the ‘Braintree Canoeing Club Halloween Raft c/o Andy Dronsfield (Reference: 110665) on Saturday 29th October at 1.00pm’. Full payment will be required on booking. (Please note LV have the right to fill any part-filled rafts with other parties, six paddlers confirmed to date.)
Oh! yes…. and one last thing, FANCY DRESS, preferable but optional. 🙂
