Come and join us on Sunday 18th Dec for the final paddle of 2016 on the River Cam.
It’s the funtastic Christmas Cambridge Backs paddle, suitable for all abilities…. and to make it that little extra special why not decorate your kayak, wear a Santa hat or simply add a little sparkle by donning some tinsell and a few glow sticks!
So if you can squeeze another event into your Christmas social calendar, then I’m sure you’ll have a great time… come and join us and let’s make it a good one!!
Date : Sunday 18th Dec
Time : 10.30am
Distance: approx. 5m (round trip)
Wrap up warm and bring some light refreshments. e.g a flask of Mulled Wine and some Mince Pies.
…..oh a don’t forget the Cracker! (Ho! Ho! Ho!)
The starting point will be at Byron’s Pool near Cambridge – Google Maps reference is here: http://goo.gl/maps/FIsel – Exit Junction 11 of the M11 and head towards Cambridge and Trumpington. From Trumpington take Grantchester Rd towards Grantchester. Turn left just before river and cottages, signed posted for Byron’s Pool. It will take approx. between 50-60 minutes to get there from Braintree.
There is a free car park but please note that here is a height restriction on it (so beware: you may have to remove your kayaks, decorations and Santa’s hat before you enter.)
On a safety note, any children (under 18) will need to be accompanied by an adult (also paddling) and a Parental Responsibility form will need to be signed and handed in on the day.
We look forward to seeing you on the river!
